About ArchiveMind
A local-first file search app, made by one person who needed it.
Who makes it
ArchiveMind is made by Dominik Krzanowski in Los Angeles, California. Magician, illusion designer & creative technologist; creator of ArchiveMind. The company behind it is It's Magic Entertainment, LLC, a California company — the same one on the terms and privacy pages.
Why it exists
In Dominik's words: “ArchiveMind was inspired by my own frustration with years of files spread across folders and external hard drives. I often knew a file existed but couldn’t remember what it was called or where it was saved. I wanted a way to search my archive by what files actually contained, so I built ArchiveMind.”
How it is made
The principles on the front page are not marketing; they are the constraints the software is built under. The app makes no network connections — no account, no telemetry, no update or model downloads — and says so plainly where it can't do something rather than pretending. Every release is tested on real hardware on each platform before it is published, and the catalogue it builds is an ordinary file on your own disk that you can open with any SQLite tool. It is free up to 10,000 files and US $49, once, after that.
